RUSSELL
BROOM
Best known for his work with Jann Arden, guitarist/songwriter/producer
Russell Broom has become noted for his ability to slide between different
musical genres, while retaining a distinct character and signature in
his work.
Broom's work can be heard just about everywhere. He has worked with
a diverse range of artists including: Arden, Martin Page, Amy Sky, Mae
Moore, Terri Clark, George Fox, Tariq, PJ Perry, Kirk MacDonald, The
Moffatts, Maren Ord, Sheri-D Wilson, Doug Riley, Chris Tarry etc, as
well as performing and or producing music for MuchMoreMusic, CMT, CBC,
CTV, CKRD, as well as numerous film and television programs.
He has shared the stage with Sting, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, performed
on The Tonight Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, Dick Clark's New Years
Eve, Good Morning America, VH1, and MuchMusic.
Broom has made ungodly noises at clubs in the Calgary area where he
makes his home base.
Broom obviously loves music, and obviously it shows through in his work..
His 2002 Juno Award for Songwriter of the Year is presently adorning
his toilet tank.
